In mid-2013 Calibration laboratory of force and torque significantly increased the capacity, respectively the range of forces to which performs calibration. That means, purchase of two new sensors was made, one of 1MN and one of 5MN. Thus now the range of forces to which laboratory can perform calibration is from 20N to 5000000N (5MN).

Both sensors are tensometric type of product and are from the renowned German company HBM. Calibration and traceability, as well as all the other equipment is provided in the chain DKD - PTB - Germany.

The main area of use of the new sensors is the calibration of large presses and material testing machines for examination of the characteristics of metal, concrete and other materials and final products. By this Calibration laboratory of force and torque provides the test laboratories in the field of mechanical engineering, metallurgy and construction to perform calibration of their devices quickly, with quality, excellent traceability system and substantially lowered costs.
